Remember if you are going to take on projects that are too big for you, the solder needs to go inside the pads and stick to the leads as well as the pads. Aka the solder cannot just be a ball at the end of the leads, it must connect to the pcb sorta. also remember to control the desire to chuck the pcb across the room.
